Whisky is a spirit that comes from the fermentation and following distillation of barley, rye and malt must. It implies several benefits and therapeutic powers: from memory and blood circulation improvement, to stress reduction. Unsurprisingly, whisky is also known as the “water of life”, because in ancient times, it was used as a real medicine.

Long aging phases and limited production make this spirit one of the most expensive drinks of the market; for this reason, it is often considered as a luxury product.

  1. Tells a story: it has to communicate your brand’s history and your philosophy.
  2. Stimulates the senses: when you taste a good glass of whiskey, all your five senses get involved. The customer is accompanied on a journey full of aromatic memories, in which all the “hidden” elements of the drink will be revealed, such as age, aging method and production country. Inevitably, the packaging has to recall all these feelings in the mind of the consumer, encouraging him to purchase. 
  3. It is functional: a luxury packaging should definitely be developed in order to facilitate the preservation of the product; however, later, it can also perform further functions of use, because of the quality of the box.
  4. Attention to detail: taking care of every aspect of the packaging is essential so that the customer perceives the higher value of your whiskey.
  5. Communicates value: as a luxury product, your whisky needs an appropriate packaging, able to show the value of the content.  Choose refined covering papers, elegant finishes and fine printing techniques that will enrich the box.
  6. Priority to sustainability: it is a matter of fact that consumers’ attention to environmental issues has increased considerably in recent years; the adoption of an eco-friendly packaging is an aspect that you can no longer underestimate. 
  7. Be bold!  Do not be afraid to dare, break the rules and use too much originality!
