How is the paper made?

News

Paper in all its facets is one of the most important materials we use in our lives.

An extremely versatile product that we find every day in the form of white or colored sheets, books, banknotes, boxes, tickets, receipts, kitchen paper, shoppers, notebooks, and many other products.

We visited the Favini paper mill to find out how paper is made starting simply from water, cellulose or fibrous substances of various kinds.

The thing that most struck the eye are the thousand or more colors of pre-consumer waste derived from previous productions and stacked in the yard ready to be reused to produce other paper in a circular economy perspective.

Some say that there are 300,000 colors, others even 3 million. In short, the colors are many and each has its own meaning. (if you want to know more read our articles about it link)

Favini produces many of the colored, smooth, embossed papers or with particular finishes that we use to cover the boxes made in Duegi Packaging.

Knowing the characteristics of this precious material in detail is essential for us to guide customers in choosing the best lining paper for their boxes.
